Northwoods Hawthorne............. some advice needed please.

Personally, I really like the hardening scale on the Hawthorne. The Wharncliffe is definitely pinchable. You can't go wrong with the Wharncliffe or Clip point versions. I have both. Another Northwoods knife to consider, that is also made by GEC, is the Presedential. Very nice, slim folder and has a relatively light pull compared to most GEC's It's a peach!

The Northwoods Hawthorne is made by GEC on their #48 slim dog leg pattern frame. The blade finish is "as forged" on the upper flat side of the blade, which also has a distinctive deeply stamped NORTHWOODS mark. The rest of the blade has a satin finish rather than a high polish. Choice of Wharncliffe or clip point blades.
