Northwoods Knives: Everyday Barlow ... Opinions?

curious how these Everyday's are holding up for everyone and how many are still enjoying pocket time. Not too many have shown up in the Exchange so the value must be worth holding on to.

I carry mine at least once a week. Holding up well. I like that I don't have to baby it like I would 1095 but I also don't get the satisfaction of a well earned patina.

I'm curious about this as well. I've been on the fence about picking one up.

Mine is holding up well. I carry it when I know I will be doing outdoor work. CPM154 is a really good steel for those that like to sharpen their knives and don't want to buy all new tougher sharpening stones. Unlike steels like M4, you can feel the sharpening happen. It holds the edge very well so I sharpened it at a slightly sharper angle than my other traditionals. It did take a few sharpening sessions before it had an even edge along the entire edge.

I would buy another, especially if it was priced as a user and was attractive.

I later took the shine off the bolster with some 2000 grit sandpaper to give it a more "working man's" appearance.
