Northwoods Knives Norfolk Whittlers in Elephant Ivory - 100% NEW, but with aesthetic imperfections, so special pricing!.

While I was going through my overstock of ivory whittlers picking one out for another sale, I rediscovered a couple that I had marked with pink dots on the package label. I had forgotten what the designation was for (keep in mind I bought these 1-1/2 years ago), so I opened them and remembered that I have a couple that have slight dark discolorations on a few spots on the ivories. I marked them when I got them to remind me which ones had the imperfections. Normally, I would have returned them, but no replacements were available because I already had them all - LOL!

These are 100% New, not factory seconds. But I'm letting these go on the cheap (well, relatively speaking) due to the imperfections. Either of these would be nice for someone looking for a real user.

About the imperfections: The #24 has what looks like a crack, but if you run your fingernail over it, you can't feel anything - it's smooth. And likewise, the #39 has several small dots, but again they're smooth to the touch (they are right on the edge of the cover, so it's possible that they might buff out - not sure, though). All the blades and back springs are good, and the knives are otherwise properly executed.

I am asking: $225.00 for the #24 and $SOLD for the #39

Prices include USPS Priority Insured shipping within the States; payment by Paypal or USPS Money Order.

If interested, please email or PM me through the Forum. Simply posting "I'll take it" or similar WILL NOT ensure you get the knife - you must contact me for confirmation and consummation of a sale.

Thanks for looking - PM or email with questions. Here are some fresh pics:

Just to clarify, because someone asked, these are NOT factory seconds - they are 100% new in sheath and sold at the same price as the others. Actually, it is not so uncommon to see such imperfections in ivory like this. For example (and just for reference), here's one up for sale at KSF as of the date of this post (5/5/15):

If it's sold, here it is:

The imperfections on these are just the way ivory is. It kind of depends on what someone wants. We have had people tell us they wanted to wait for the ivory "with character" to come up.

Just another voice that they are not seconds. :)

I appreciate that, Derrick. I just know that some guys (myself included) are kinda anal about their entire knives being "perfect." Of course, that means different things to different folks, and I want the new owners of these two to be happy with their purchases.

P.S. I hope you don't mind me using your image - it's educational (and maybe a little gratuitous advertising for ya'). Haha. Thx!
