Your best bet is to follow and subscribe to all of Knives Ship Free's social media and email sign ups. And follow the Northwoods thread in the trads.
That will let you know when stuff is coming. As for how to buy that seems to remain the Everest of knife shopping. I have 2 that I got on here in the sales sub. Both fair deals but that was before the current demand. Most of the time the nice ones in the exchange are gone a minute after they're posted.

So, I've seen a couple of fine examples of Northwoods Knives around on the internet, and from what I've seen I would fancy one. I gather the Northwoods brand is owned by knivesshipfree and you can only buy them there (or on the exchange, but I'm not in CONUS and usually miss them). The problem...

Not sure. I'm not in that loop either. There is a some sort of trail of breadcrumbs they put out before a drop because you see an uptick in discussion and some photos in the Northwoods thread. You'll have to see who will give you the map over there.

- Knivesshipfree (KSF) has them made (some by Queen--most by GEC) in batches of a few hundred, and they tend to sell out within a week or so.
The good news is there're not terribly hard to get if you subscribe to the KSF e-mail list and/or follow this subforum.
Some of them are way overpriced in the secondary market, but if you keep your eyes open you can find a reasonable deal--particularly if you're looking for a "user."
