Northwoods Michigan Jack

Sorry, i misunderstood. not the first time either, or the last.

No sweat. I probably could have elaborated in my post and said that this was my first traditional knife in decades, as well as my first foray into this corner of the forum.

Nice stag, similar to mine!
Cool temper marks too.

Thanks! I love those temper marks, I definitely need more blades with the temper marks visible.

I am one of the fortunate few, in the right place at the right time to score a Michigan Mammoth. As well as being a handsome good looker, the function is all 'right on'.

Thank you D.B. & KSF & GEC workers for such a fine knife.

Looks great! +1 to the bolded part, this was my first gec and my first purchase from ksf and I couldn't be happier. It's safe to say i've been bit by the gec bug, i've got several more on my radar.

Try: flushing under running hot water with some dish soap (few drops) and your wife's toothbrush

Lol I like your style

Finally posting up my three.

I picked up a bloodwood on the first day and managed a denim micarta a week later.
Then, the red sawcut looked so good, I dropped one in the basket...
Unfortunately, after that, the money ran out.

Great pictures. I got one in bloodwood and now wish I would have pulled the trigger on the denim micarta. Nobody has an extra denim micarta Michigan jack they want to part with do they? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1447363959.408000.jpg

My Stag arrived the other day but today was the first chance I had to snap some pictures---I like it a lot;)

Damn, I'm loving all the stags too. Out-o-money or I'd probably have them all, but still loving my bloodwood. Wow is it light and thin. In fact I totally forgot it was in the back pocket today.

What an incredible set! You're a lucky fella!

Thanks - they are a treat and all three have had pocket time and apple cutting duty over the past week.

Loving all the pics. Sorry I haven't been around much--my kids came into town and distracted me. :)

Pics look great...Denim Micarta looks like a real worker. Any of those available...even 2nds? Been away from here for a bit...where can I get one. Thanks, JT

Just bought a Michigan Jack in red saw cut bone. It's my first traditional, but I absolutely love it. This is going to get serious pocket time, particularly now that I put a mirror edge on it.

I particularly love the opening notch in the handle, it's wonderful for those of us who have to keep our nails trimmed tight.

Wonderful knife, just excellent. Worth every penny.

What a great first or second or third or....traditional! Just be careful F & S, sometimes a knife that nice leads to many, many more.:D:)
Beautiful color, congrats and enjoy.

I am kinda new to BF, and have missed this thread !!
I'm blown away by the pictures…. Blue Mammoth (never heard of it) …. Knives and Bourbon (I have had my share of Old Rip).

I feel lucky that I scored on a red camel, my first NW. (I've posted this before, but here it is)
