Northwoods Norfolk

The Norfolk is the 33 from GEC. It's a special factory order by Northwoods knives. The new whittler is on the same frame but with three blades. I'm assuming it will be a split backspring cause you sure can't cram anymore blade in that little frame without the wedge.

Regards

Robin

Northwoods and GEC are two seperate companies right?

I love my Norfolk. Carry it, but only use it for light duty chores.

Wow..off a day or two and I miss an important thread.

I love the Norfolk mostly because of its small size and ability to completely disappear in my pocket. I think it would work fine for whittling tasks, but the new one would work better. The new one should be here right after the first of the year.

Love the pics.

Looks like great pattern, too bad the shipping cost from the dealer is too high for me, I sure would like to handle one. In the mean time I am enjoying the photos

So we're looking at a new Northwoods Norfolk coming out after the 1st?

Hey guys. I have a few bucks that are burning a hole in my pocket, so naturally that means I'm looking to purchase a new knife. I was looking at a few GEC models, like the small whittler, and the sheepsfoot boys knife. Then I started looking at Northwoods and saw their Norfolk in calico bone. It's such a beautiful knife, but I've had a Northwoods in the past that was a little disappointing once I got it. So, does anyone have one of the Norfolks? If so, how do you like it?

The Northwoods Norfolks are made for KSF by GEC, and I think they have another run coming up soon (I believe this one will be a 3 blade whittler). As for me, I have a Norfolk in Elephant Ivory, and I'm crazy about it. Fit and finish are excellent, and its just an incredible little pattern in my opinion. Sorry for the stock pic, but it's all I have access to right now.

I've got one in stag and I can't find anything wrong with it. Very well made, nicely finished, decent edge out of the box. It's small and isn't suited for heavy work. I'm sure it will make a nice whittler, as other folks have mentioned. If that's what you're looking for it's a dandy!

I like mine quite a bit. Small, handy, nice blades. Very practical yet very appealing visually as well. Derrick hit this one out of the park, IMHO. Mine in light ebony:

FYI--Elephant and Mammoth ivory may be going away very soon. The federal government is looking to ban the domestic sale of both.

Let's keep the discussion to knives folks.
