I picked this up from Jim at Raisin River.A member owned AAPK store. It says on the box,Italian jigged bone.It is a pretty classy knife,no half stop, but just a smooth firm action, crisp snap.Pretty nice knife, they did a fine job contouring the scales & fitting the bone & shield.
A few shots,I tried to show "the feel" of the knife I think the blade steel is D-2,please excuse the paint on my hands,

Very nice Vince! Jim has sold me a couple Northwoods stag knives and will sell me more.

Get yourself one of their stags if you can...nobody makes nicer stag knives right now.

Their jigged bone (like yours) makes for a beautiful user, doesn't it? Nice scales, D2, and at a great price.

Congtratulations and enjoy it!

Thanks marcinek,as far as using it,I don't know,I just got it,but I figured I'd show you guys.No one here right here now, appreciates this stuff like you guys do.I have been looking at the others,on his store site there, nice guy.

I love the knives, you know,I have some fine productions & some real nice custom slips.I try to carry 'em all, check them out. Some days, one never can tell what I'll drop in my pocket when I leave for the day.Nice to have a few to select and rotate around.

Nice looking knife Vince. Did it arrive with a good edge?

That's a very nice knife!

The Northwoods knives do seem to be very nicely done. Just to echo what Marcinek said about the stag, here is a small Stockman in stag that I have here in my room...

...what looks like it might be a blade rub is just a reflection. I'm envious of both Vince's knife and his pictures. :o:)

El Lobo,Very nice, thanks for posting your pictures. You gotta love their blade profiles, too.

Is it just me or does that slim jack look an awful lot like a single blade trapper?

kamagong,I'd say it's more along the lines of a single blade slim line trapper,so yes,I'd say you're right on ,they just call it a slim jack.
