Norton Norax 9 Abrasive Discs
Price is per 9 Norton Norax Abrasive disc.
These discs are X weight cotton cloth backed and will require you to apply some form of adhesive. I also have available 3M Feathering adhesive in a 5oz tube (3M had discontinued making the spray). The feathering adhesive remains tacky even through several uses which allows the long lasting Norax discs to be removed and reused later.

16x (approx=600 CAMI) = $5.05

This is the engineered abrasive from Norton Abrasives that until now was only available in grinding belts. I made a deal with Nortons to produce a special run of 9x11 sheets and 9 discs. No one else, to my knowledge, has these. The discs have not yet shipped but I just received the 9x11 sheets. These are cloth backed sheets just like the Norax belts. You can stick them to your grinding discs and trim off the excess just like you are already doing with other abrasives and have the great performance of the Norax abrasive. Or you can use them just like you would other abrasive paper. Now to be sure, each sheet isnt cheap but they will out last several other sheets and in my experience ultimately be cheaper and better than the thin SC or AO type 9x11 abrasive sheets. The Norax abrasive is significantly thicker than typical abrasive sheets, especially in the finer grits and will not have the bumps you experience from the adhesive used to mount the disc.

I am in the process of setting up a web site at www.midwestknifemakers.com but I am quite a bit away from being up and running with that. In the mean time, I can sell these a couple ways. I can take Paypal or you can mail me a check or money order.
It costs nothing to send funds with www.Paypal.com and you can use a credit card or checking account transfer. Once I have the web site up and running, I will be able to take credit cards or paypal from the online ordering process.

Pricing for the 9 discs has not been set and I have not been given an estimated time of arrival but I expect them soon. I expect the pricing for the 9 discs to be approximately 10% higher than the 9x11 sheets. These are not PSA discs (or sheets) so you will have to apply adhesive to mount the abrasive to your grinder. I havent received my 3M adhesive yet but I should have that in soon also.
Shipping for now will be a flat $4 for up to 25 sheets and an additional $4 for each multiple of 25 after that.
Shipping for adhesive cleaner will be an additional $3 for 1 to 3 cans.
If this all seems a bit off the cuff and lacking professionalism, it is. This is going to be a garage based, very small business my wife, my children and I will operate for at least the foreseeable future. I expect I will screw up every possible way. I hope to build this into something eventually. It should be a kick. Wish me luck .
