Bought an axe today, sticker on it says: Husets Oks, Geilo - Norway for $25 in an army surplus shop. Looks well made, new old stock. I don't no more about it, any info? Thanks.
Brødrene Øyo still makes axes (tools and cutlery) on Geilo. They started their firm in 1882. Geilo has a long history of tool and cutlery production in Norway. The knife company Brusletto is also placed at Geilo.
A search on their web site tells me they still make the "Husets" axe.
