We want to have simply scandi knife ... Ok, we take : one pretty blade from Markku Vilppola, Finland, some pieces of nickel silver, black vulcanized fiber and good quality piece of reindeer antler (all from brisa.fi); later we put those parts together and we spend some hours looking fantastic Per thoresen blog, and few hours later we have quite simply scandi in Norwegian style (I hope :) )

Hi Robert, I'm sure you jest when you say in only a few hours you have a knife. I really like the carving on the antler. Which tools did you use to carve it ? Beautiful job !

Ken, it was a little joke. I use only simply chisels/engavers, all carving is hand made, only a little buffing with white rouge in finish ... Pattern like this it is about 40 hours of carving ... but some Viking age patterns (especially in Mammen style) take a little bit more time :o
