I love the Camillus Military US 'Demo" pocket knife.
I picked up five from somebody that were new old stock, still in the plastic with factory oil on them.

Upon checking them out, I noticed the main blades have barbs/burrs (almost looks like nicks) in the blade.
Is it normal to have to touch up a new blade like this?

Keep in mind these are from the early 90s and these knives are by no means high-end knives.

Just curious.

Thanks!

If memory serves, I've had a Demo knife that needed a little touch up, and a couple that didn't.
Not sure how common it is for the burrs, excluding Cold Steel machetes - burrs are standard equipment on those.
I'd just give them a couple passes on a good Arkansas stone, strop, and move on.
The Demo knife is a good one to have. Quite useful for EDC.

I guess I got unlucky getting five like this.
I just get really picky with this stuff...and I probably shouldn't with lowest bidder contract military blades!

your picture reminds me of the cold steel machete burrs. sure it's not a really big burr?
