Noss D-tests the Skinny ASH1

"IT PUTS THE SKINNY ASH IN THE BASKET"

Remind me to not send my Knives to NOSS for modding! If you remove a 1/4 inch and choil while sharpening a knife!!! you need a class!!

Im glad I put my spare time into something Creative!! Not That!! My opinion!! :foot: :D

Busse does make a tough knife!! But, I knew that before he destroyed that Skinny Ash with a Hammer!

Must have been screwing up the inclusive angle thingy for about 12 sharpenings. LOL

I bet it would have lasted longer had he not messed with it. I wonder if the Heat Treat was affected at all.

I didn't see a bucket of Ice Water or a KMG with ceramic belts!

Oh crap, he did another test without the aid of SCIENCE?!?!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I Always love to watch these vids, even if it isn't Bill Nye under that mask. Thanks for the heads up!:thumbup::thumbup:

badash oh yeah it does me proud that poor little knife
thank you noss for doing what i dont have the guts to do now i can see how tough my knife is...

Thats a big slip on the sharpening but I think it looks 10x better without the choil.

If I pick up an Skinny ASH and remove the choil would it still be covered under warranty? My guess is no but the choil is the only reason I haven't picked up one yet.

Yeah, it does look better without the choil. But how he managed to remove the choil accidentally I will never know. :D I'm almost kind of surprised that it died at the side tang impacts, although it took a beating even there. I wonder how much thicker it would have had to be to pass that. The FFBM passed it, and those seem to range (according to my measurements on actual specimens) from 0,27" to 0,32".

And perhaps this will shut up those people who say Busses are tough only because they're quarter inch thick. :p
