Not a bad price for a LE...

I can't tell if this is a two-dot or a three-dot that just went for $14.50. Looks like good user in either case. It's just that it looks like two dots before the 110 mark. Could it be? I can't really tell on my screen.

It wasn't me. My current users are Sambar Stag 110s with S30V. :) Now, I've got to start collecting 'em, too. :)

Wolf, I think it's a Four-Dotter.

Still a good deal.

Those knives are mostly kinda beat up, but I suppose if you spent the time to do the cleanup and spit-shine thing you would have a reasonable gain.

BTW.....did you catch the recent post Buck110 made to me on another thread that enabled me to figure out that the previous knife was probably a Four-Dotter and definitely not a Three-Dotter even though we couldn't see the dots clearly?

SO MUCH valuable information appears on this forum if you keep your eyes peeled!

:)

Mine came just a bit ago, and I'm glad that I decided to buy it. As wolfdog said, it's a piece of Buck history plus being a great looking knife. I really like the etch on the handle, the blade etch not so much, but all in all I'm very pleased to add it to my collection.

Looks nice plumberdv. Thanks for showing the pictures. It would have been fantastic with a gold etch graphic of some kind on the blade, but it's still an interesting piece of Buck history. I still wonder where the 630 number came from.

I found the knife in the Special Projects list and it said somewhere in the 500's were made. The scan of the list was poor, so I couldn't tell the exact number. I do know that sometimes the lists aren't accurate.

When I buy a knife, I decide what it's worth. That decision is based on what it's value is to ME, not what it's value or worth is to anyone else.
I really don't care what anyone else thinks it's worth or if it has their definition of value.;)
what a way to say it...
many times of late a knife was worth more to me then i bid ..
but i bid only what i was able to..
many times that is why i loose the listing to other bidd'ers
not enough money vs deeper pockets..
who here was it that collected wolfs?

You maybe talking about me there Dave. You out bid me on Joe's Wolf 110 as you had the deeper pockets. I get the wolf Bucks for my daughter who is the wolf lover. She has three very nice wolf Buck knives so far. A stag 916 with a gold wolf etch, a Duke 500 with a scrim wolf, and a 525 with a wolf print in a wolf scrim topped box.
