Not a great day

I really hope you find your knife. It sounds like you've looked a lot of places and covered all the bases with ads and signs. Keep looking for it in palces where

you'd never think it might be. Don't check all the same places, try new places. Never Give Up Hope.

I lost a plain jane large regular 3-4 years ago. I lost it someplace in the house. I looked everywhere I could think of, even outside. I never gave up hope tho.

I had a headlight bulb burn out 11 months after I lost the knife. I have a box I keep extra and old head light bulbs that are still good.I got a bulb out of the box and found

my regular in the box. Talk about happy.............

I hope I never lose mine. I just got a large plain insingo recently. It has become my favorite knife to carry really quickly. Don't give up hope!

I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be an 'I thought I list my Sebenza' situation. I have had knives fall out of my pocket before, and it's always been obvious when it hit pavement. Unless you know 100% that you had it at the car wash and that you didn't have it afterward, I would spend more energy searching your other pants at the house, the couch, or your cars.

Speaking from experience...

I really hope it does. The reason I am thinking it was at the car wash is because I spent a lot of time there power washing the car, vacuuming, cleaning the rims etc. and it is loud so it the knife could have fallen out with out me hearing it. That said I really hope it turns into an I thought I lost my Sebenza situation. Thanks for all the great tips, I am still searching.

Lost mine too! Small plain jane. Only had it a couple months tops. Oh well. Hopefully someone will find it who enjoys it.

Really sorry to here that. Don't give up hope, I found mine a week or so later - here is the link http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1119450-A-Great-Day

I was sure it was gone I went back to were I thought I lost it, put up a couple of adds etc. and then I found it. I think what happened was that I picked up a construction bag (like a canvas tool bag) and the knife clip latched onto the bag and transferred from my pocket to the bag (one of the forum members suggested this may have happened). I will never know for sure but I am pretty conscious of not loosing this knife and believe me I would never just hang it off the outside of a bag like this. Anyway don't loose hope and I may turn up when you least expect it.

If you carry clipped, look out for seatbelts. More than once, seatbelts have tried to steel my Sebenza.

Hey partner, that's great news! I'm glad you found it. Did it take almost two months to find it or did it turn up a few days later when you checked the bag?

Regardless of what the time frame I'm happy the Sebenza made it's way home

I would probably fall to my knees and cry out loud with my arms in the air saying, "WHYYYYYY???!!!!!" Because dropping $400 isn't an easy thing for me to do. When I buy/sell/trade I use the funding in a circle for future purchases so I never actually invest more money than what I have in my total collection. I only keep a few favorites everything else is rotated on the exchange.

Thanks very much. I was really not happy when I thought it was gone, I also don't have $400 to throw away. I think it took about a week and a half before I found it. My daughter got into my truck and yelled dad I found it! and I said found what? and she pointed to the bag. Very happy day indeed, I was sure it was lost forever.

I remember going to a friends house with my brand new (when they first came out) SOG Trident. I sat on the couch with the arm rest on my right side and the clip snagged on the cloth material and bent it out so far I had to phone in and request new pocket clips. I was worried at the time but luckily it was a fixable problem and not lost forever.
