Forged this up for my Mom and Dad, from some 1/2 round. Did a wire wheel finish, with oil on that. Thought you all might like it.

Now that's a tp holder with some character-nice work-I'm curious on how you formed the tail end-did you upset it first then shape or is it the same diameter as the stock? Thanks for sharing.

That's very nice! I'm sure it's tricky to get the scroll at the top so even and concentric.

thanks guys. Shawn, I necked in 2 sides over the corner of the anvil, then into the vise to make it a 4 sided shoulder, then hanging it over the corner started to push it back, hammer onto the blob end at a 45 degree angle and rotating continuously. I can snap some photos if this is unclear.

James, there is a couple tricks to it. First, make sure you taper the entire length of the amount of coil you want and it will naturally roll up nicely, second make sure your very first roll is nice and round, and the rest will follow that.

I looked at the tittle and I am thinking now I wonder does he really mean TP holder. Yes ladies and gentlemen he did! Now that is a real TP holder!

Nice work Sam

Sure is some symbolism going on with it ;)

Sam, that is awesome! I'd have no problem hanging it in my bathroom.

PS Still no word from the PO on the missing hammer.

Sam, you've reminded of me of an idea I had a while back. Imagine a bathroom where normal fixtures are also forged weapons. Like a toilet plunger with a decorative mace attached to the handle, unscrew the rubber plunger, and you've got a battle ready mace. Plus, it would look better than the normal ones, use some nice stained hickory for the handle.
A forged towel rack, spiked ends. A nice wooden shower curtain, but forged speartips on the ends, not too sharp, but still a potential weapon. I just like the idea that they are function, artistic, and if needed, deadly. Yet, most folks wouldn't see them as overt weapons.
Plus, during a home invasion you'de be ready, in the shower, on the toilet, or while drying your hands. We all know, shit happens in the bathroom! All these things could look good with your TP holder.

Nice TP holder by the way!
