I want to place a for sale post under supplies and tools-but I get a message telling me that I don't have privileges.

Why is that?

I hope that it's not a money thing because I paid a membership several years ago and never even saw any changes to my log-in showing or telling me of any new upgraded privileges, or even heard from you. A thank you would have been nice. I haven't log-on very much since.

You need a paid Knifemaker/Craftsman/Service Provider membership to list in that area (yes, even if you aren't any of those things). Memberships expire and need to be renewed every year.

Different memberships provide different privileges and they are listed on the page where you pay. Changes would be reflected in those areas (more PMs, color change, more UserCP options, etc.). With the sheer number of members on BFC, it's not feasible to send thank you notes to everyone.

sorry, it's a $$ thing.
you have to be a paid member at the gold or higher level to seel on the exchange.
Trading stuff is free.
paid memberships are annual and it's up to you to change your group membership to reflect the change in status after payment is made.
