Not dead, and still making knives

I didn't realize how many people thought I was either dead or quit making knives until I posted in customs and fs yesterday. I've just been extremely busy with work and life. I post how to stuff on Instagram ALL the time, because it's super easy and much faster than the picture taking/editing/uploading/posting required on forums.

Here's one I just finished. Quite a bit of the work... especially the sheath, is on Instagram. Just FWIW! :) :) :)

The blade is random pattern damascus, a 416 stainless guard, 416 and G10 spacers, domed/polished 416 pin, and super Koa for the handle. The sheath was super influenced by Paul Long ;) :) it has a random pattern damascus stud and is all hand saddle stitched.

Blade-
9-7/8" long X 1-9/16" wide X 0.220" thick.
Handle- 5-1/4" long

Thanks for looking. :)

*** that's not a big ugly secondary bevel, it's just weird lighting. The blade is convexed down to an edge... I'm just having a hell of a time with my photos. :o

I am Glad "Nick Who" is not dead. You can not die until after I have one of your Bowies. Then you are free to go to greener pastures as my Bowie increases in price :)

Really beautiful. The spacers really make the knife pop. Larry P.S. Because of one of your videos I used a rotary platen today to finish the guard and scales on my 14 inch camp knife. Thanks for that! LL

Nick, I just joined Instagram, so I'll have to find you to follow---nice to see you here again--I have a bunch of your vids saved for reference, and to remind me how much I suck

Hey Nick, great to see you're not dead!

Definitely everyone needs to follow Nick on instagram. He does tons of WIP videos explaining his process. It's really enlightening even for someone that doesn't make the same style of knife. :)

Nice to see you posting, Nick. Is it just me or is the handle a bit thicker with less drop than some of your previous knives? Beautiful knife and sheath.

Great blade and sheath Nick. I am always refferring to the great vids you posted on youtube. Thanks for that.
Now I'll have to get an Instagram account!

Nick, the craftsmanship you put into your work is incredible. It is hard to beleive that those blade and handles are not made by some freaky 3D CNC machines and printers :D

There.... fixed it. Heyyyyyyy ... Nice knife!

You owe me $5.
Rick
