I have several knives that I really like and sometimes it’s hard to decide which ones to take along. Do I need more pockets? 😆

Sometimes I would like to carry a particular knife but then I think I might just need to carry another one or two but I’m running out of pocket space because I also carry other items I need and want with me like my Leatherman multi tool, flashlight, phone, keys, handkerchief, Knipex pliers, wallet and sometimes other stuff. I know I could use a small pouch or pack but it’s not always that comfortable or convenient to use. I also use a belt sheath but having more than one gets annoying. I guess I’m hard to please. 😝

I’ve tried some different jeans like the carpenters jeans or cargo pants but they don’t seem to fit me as well and have slash style pockets that will let a pocket knife slip out fairly easily. I wish I could design some geans that would have the pockets I need and proper fit and all. I’m just not one of those guys that can carry just one knife. 😆 I like my knives and lm not going start limiting myself just yet anyway.

I know there’s other fellas that probably suffer the same difficulties as me and maybe they have some good advice they are willing to share. Thanks in advance! 😊

Carhartt has designed the cross body snap bag that "gives you rugged storage for your day-to-day necessities. The large main compartment has smaller pockets to keep your gear in line, and it's spacious enough to hold a book or tablet." I have seen women using similar bags with shoulder straps for years.:p

I carry a slip joint and SAK in the front cargo. They don't slip from that pocket . RF slash pocket gets a larger traditional or small Sebenza and a fixed blade. Then either a FB or 110/112 on my belt.
Left pockets have phone , keys etc.

That’s a rugged looking man purse as one of my co-workers would say. 😆 thanks for the info and it is probably a great piece of gear but a bit large for my preference for edc.

So that would be considered a "murse"?
.....Sorta reminiscent of the " manzeer" that Kramer had on Seinfeld.

I do have three different sizes of Maxpedition edc pouches, a micro, a small and a fat edc and I mostly have survival stuff such as extra batteries, wire ties, bandaids, antiseptic wipes, spare flashlight, paracord, fishing hooks and line, pen and pencil, small note pad, bic lighter, stuff like that. The fat one I take on extended trips afield and camping that I also have a small first aid kit and a longer length of paracord in there with fire starting materials.

I could use the micro sized one as a way to carry an extra or two knives. Lol I guess I’ll give it a try.

The singer of the band Blues Traveller used to wear this vest that had multiple small pockets sewn into the front for his harmonicas. I bet he carried 20 of those jokers. Something like that might work.

I too like to carry multiple knives when possible. The old saying, "one is none, two is one, three is fun" definitely applies to knives. I've even tried carrying a boot knife, but can't figure out a comfortable way to do it yet.

I carry several knives every day. I usually wear cargo pants or jeans. I have a modern folder clipped to my right front pocket and a traditional stockman in my right front pocket. I have either an auto or a Case mini trapper in my left front pocket. I also have an SAK Manager on my keys. I like knives. I also have my EDC inside the waistband appendix carry when I'm not working. And my keys, phone, wallet, etc. I probably carry too much stuff, but it works for me.

The Carhartt bag looks like the US issue Musette bag of WW-II. I think an issue pistol belt with ammo pouches, compass, and canteen might work for you Lesknife Lesknife - put your knives in the ammo pouches. A dressier version would be Batman’s belt - lots of cool stuff in one of those! OH

My coworker wants to buy someone a knife so I had to stuff my pockets this morning with examples. It's not even remotely chilly in south Georgia this morning so I look kind of funny with weighted down jacket pockets.

In the Summer, I wear Wrangler cargo shorts all the time. In the Winter, it's Riggs cargo work pants, or jeans. Then there are the pockets in whatever vest or jacket I'm wearing. Man purse? No! I can't stand anything hanging loose from my shoulders or neck. If I need to carry that much stuff with me, I'll use a small day pack. A fanny pack is another option.

Yeah in the winter time I wear a coat or jacket or coveralls that has plenty of pockets but when I go inside it’s to much to wear and I have to take it off so then I don’t have that stuff with me when I need it.

I”m mostly thinking about some different geans that have one or two more pockets.. Back about 15 years ago there were some wrangler geans I really liked that had vertical knife pockets but sadly they no longer make those.

Talk about not having stuff when you need it: I'm retired from the Dept of Corrections. The stuff that I really wanted to take in to work, (knife, gun, etc) I had to leave in my truck in the parking lot when I walked through the gate.:)

How many pockets / knives does a retired guy need?
😉

I’m retired from work not play. Lol. I want to stay active and enjoy some things I’ve planned to do after working all these 45+ years. I probably don’t need as many knives as I like but then I have em so why not take them along to enjoy. Like John Wayne said, it’s better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them. Lol
