Not Impressed...

I've lost count of how many Spydies have passed through my hands, but I have never had quality issues with a single one of them except for one comp lock that was defective, but the knife was lightly used, so I don't know if I can blame Spyderco.

Spyderco can only realistically guarantee the quality of it's products until it leaves the factory. What the dealer does to it is beyond their control. There are dealers who will repack a returned(defective) knife and resell it hopeing the new buyer won't notice. I've NEVER had anything but flawless knives when I order directly from Spyderco.

Some of you must have really bad luck...:p

Hi Kelvin,

1/8" is .125. Mire than half the thickness of the blade. I believe this is quite excessive and not normal or acceptable.

Personally I find Spydercos to be some of the more consistently good knives on the market. I have had many over the years and the two most recent I bought (Native and Endura 4) have been up to the same standards as my first Spyderco which was an original plastic clip g2 blade Endura that served very well.

I do have an old Police model that is heavily used and needed a bit of adjusting (after some good hard work over many years) but trying to get the information from them I requested was apparently going to take an act of congress. Even a Spydee employee had come here once and told me to email her directly and she would see that it was dealt with...I emailed and was ignored

I finally gave up and here the knife sits needing some work it will probably never get. Still I think that their quality is excellent and from reading here most customer service is above par...I suspect I just happened to get lost in the shuffle.
