I try to post useful info that knife folks might be interested in, and in the spirit of that, I offer a couple of nuggets pertaining to my recent CS splurge.
Got the LT limited Ti Lite 6 with the clip point blade. They decided to do away with one of the liners. Which is weird, right? I checked around the net and it looks like it's not just me. No liner on the non lock side. Why would they do that other than to cut cost, maybe? Seems odd and was a surprise. Still a sweet knife that is supposed to be limited to 3000 and the box is signed by LT, which adds to the cool factor. The lock is stiff enough to mention.
Opened up a new CS Facon today and was greeted by a lot of bad surface corrosion. Discolored brass and a section of the blade that didn't get any oil and resulted in about a 1 inch square area on the blade with red rust that has permanently etched the blade. Despite that, it is freakin' awesome and I likely won't return or exchange it. I will probably order a "backup" at some point and have it inspected before shipment. If you like Gaucho knives at all, add one of these to your collection while you can. Shop around for the best value, I found quite a few different prices.
