Sorry if this seems long. Still more to post. Please be patient with me.

After grinding the scale off today this is what I had. Then the hollow grind. Free hand.

I have a nice selection of Sambar stag Oosik, Ironwood, cocobolo, and all sorts of other stuff. So any ideas?

Man, I was eyeballing that redwood burl. I LOVE the holographic flame qualities of a nice piece of redwood burl. I really like the blade profile and grind as well.

Whatever that piece is right underneath the big ironwood block in the center of the picture looks like it would fit well.

The long piece of wood under the Ironwood is a cocobolo board. I like it but not for this. That Redwood is from Arizona Ironwood. Cool place and will treat you right. We will see. I will be updating this thread as this knife gets completed.
