Because I wanted to catch the morning light for the photos I have not sharpened or put my maker's mark on this one. I will finish it up after my third cup of coffee this morning.
This is a stock removal knife from 3/16 inch 52100 high carbon steel. The clip is subtle and doesn't show well in the photos and is not sharpened.
I heat treat in my shop using digitally controlled equipment (Evenheat) to Rc 58-60 with attention to a fine grain structure throughout the blade. This produces good edge holding and toughness in the knife.
Flat grind
The handle is from a unique piece of maple that has both curl and spalting. Stabilized by K&G Services.
Overall length: 10 1/4 inches
Blade: 5 1/2 inches
The scabbard has been oiled to give it a harness leather feel and has a belt loop for a right hand carry
