Not receiving emails from BladeForums

Sorry for all you guys, but I am still receiving all notices of subscribed threads and all PM's, have NOT missed one.

For your information, I have a gmail address, not comcast.net, I read on another forum comcast net was marking a lot of emails as spam. Check your spam box if on comcast.

Still not working for me either. I also turned off email here a couple of days ago to avoid confusion of lost emails from other members (already had at least 2 that I'm aware of.)

I check my spam box at least once per day, and nothing has shown up there either.

Spark, add me to the list of no email or post notifications and private messages, same problem here. I didn't change any of my settings or email address.

When this gets sorted out can someone shoot me a direct email. I will subscribe to this post as well to stay up to date.

ok, I'm getting thousands of bounced emails from people at cox.net, comcast.net and others because of a hosting issue. We're working on getting that resolved.
 
I have 4 thread reply notifications from BladeForums in my email Inbox now!!!! (9:46 - 9:56 AM local time)
 
Just deleted about 70 more thread and PM notifications...I guess it's all the old ones coming through that didn't make it before?
 
I've only been getting notifications every once and a while for the past week. Today I got over 200 of my subscribed thread emails at 12:11 p.m.

No biggie, but this info seems relevent to this thread.
 
Looks like the reverse DNS records were indeed the culprit.

Here's the breakdown: our hosting provider had a guy who initially set up our server configuration. Since then, they've gone through (at my count) 4 different guys handling our account. The initial guy set up our email so that any bounced emails were getting deleted. As a result, I didn't see any problems.

Last week, for the (x)th time I noticed that my personal bladeforums.com address was down (again). The new guy went over with me the email address aliasing, and we changed a couple things. Suddenly my email box was filled with around 10,000 bounced email messages. I looked in them for error codes and the common thread was a lack of rDNS setups. We got that taken care of today on the hosting provider's end. Now email is working. HUZZAH
 
...good news I received some PM message notices today in my regular email.

Yep have a few everytime I checked my email.
 
I asked a member to post a reply to a subscribed thread today; I did receive a notification...[woohoo!!!]... ;)

But no backlog of emails or notifications as reported by others, even though members have direct-emailed me that they replied... :rolleyes:

I hope it is straightened out...Time will tell, I suppose... :)
