I'm not sure, I have never owned one. In the future it would be much appreciated if you place punctuation in the correct places and used the shift key to make capital letters instead of the caps lock.

David, the tip area on the Lum tanto has an intentional Hamaguri or "apple seed" grind. It should, however, be sharp. Mine shaves easily.

FYI, using all caps is akin to SHOUTING in the online world & is generally reserved for placing emphasis. It is also harder to read. BTW, welcome to the forums.
