Not sure about this test LOL PM2-CTS20P Cuts thru PM2 in S30V

this guy has already been banned on several other forums because he was telling alot of people how to fix knives in ways that would ruin them as well as putting several knife makers down.... pretty much brought the angry mob with pitchforks and torches after him. I urge anyone in the knife community to not even fuel this fire. Let him continue to look stupid without anyone to watch him.

I didn't even click the link. I knew it was Neptune and didn't even bother. He's a real piece of work, that's for sure.

I've seen this video and it seems plausible. It's a harder steel, and a back and forth motion would not cause the moving blade to chip giving it the appearance of being "super." I bet if you smashed the two blades together there would be chips and dings in both blades depending on the angle of impact and thickness of the bevels.

Actually both of those steels are ran at almost exactly the same target hardness by Spyderco. CTS-20CP isn't a super steel because it's "harder." It's more wear resistant, which is something different altogether.

That test shows literally nothing, other than both steels are very wear resistant.

Let me know when he decides to test how well a spyderedge Harpy can be set on fire and still shave his face.

Or gonads.

Either way.

Lol. He got totally slammed in the Reeves forum once for making a video on how weak the lockup on Reeves knives are :barf:.

edited...nothing to positively contribute regarding the lame brain that made the video...sorry

+1  That guy is a tool.

Oh come on, let us not insult tools! For example, the venerable screwdriver is a tool that serves us all with honor, integrity, and reliability. WTF is up with this Neptune guy, I don't know, but as someone else said, it's his money. On the other hand, rather than ruin a perfectly good knife for one's own recreation, why not donate it to a deployed soldier who'd love to have one? Far better use of the funds.
