But have any of you guys heard of "The Real Deal" hats? Made from canvas off of cargo trucks in Brazil.

Anyways, just got one, and I freaking love it.

I guess to make it correlate, I think everyone should have a damn good hat if in any type of survival situation. This is a brimmed hat, which would be good to keep sun and rain off of you... That good?

I like the ball cap! I lived in Brazil for a couple of years and saw those trucks all the time. I'm prob going to get one. They look like a heavy duty hat.

Nice find!

I've ball caps, a Boonie -which I suspect is like your canvas hat-, a Duluth Sunhat and a Tilley Hat. The last is good because it is well designed. Ball caps help when I drive.

Here is a pic of their original hat.

Hmm good find! My cheap-ass boonie is on its way back. Looking for a new bush hat and a leather hat for more everyday use, the Recylced tarp hat looks pretty damn good.
They even have a dedicated EU site, great.

I like this hat better. It has a clever strap system so I can't lose the hat in strong winds. They also offer one with an insect repellant scheme.

i was at the houston rodeo cook off this past weekend. met my cousin out there and he was wearing one of these. never heard of them till then. pretty cool hat if you like boonies

It has a lifetime guarantee, and if it gets lost you'll get a replacement for half off. It floats and has a secret pocket.

The Tilley is popular among many fisherman. Our annual trout fishing spot, you see them all over. I bought a similar hat there a few years ago. I really like it.

I had 2, I like the idea off them but I traded them off at the campout b/c the are hot(for me anyways)do not breathe enough

This is about the tarp hat i asume? Im not having fear of it being to hot in the netherlands, not as hot as tx summers.
Just ordered one. And for a chance it costs more from the eu shop.... US shop doesnt allow EU orders...

I think they look cool and of course there's the Zombieland appeal, but honestly that's just too much for something like that in my opinion. I'm not spending $40-$50 or whatever they are now for a tarp hat. I'd rather spend that dough on a boonie or ball cap and some other gear. I have a lot of hats. None that cost more than $25.

I think you'll be o-kay ! well built hats, you'll really enjoy them, should said something ,I still have another laying here ,a friend from Brazil shipped me several :) I spray waterproofing on it and wore it once :)

I like the way those look. I usually just use boonie hats. I have a few of them so I always wear them. They seem to work for me.
