Not That I Can Afford It but have any of you hogs had a chance to try one of the new blackberry storms? they look cool and seem to be competing with the iphone

.

blackberry bold is more my taste....I like a keyboard. Good stuff!!!! I have dropped my old pearl out the window of my locomotive onto a concrete pad (by accident) with no ill effects. It has also been under water (don't ask) and came through okay after it dried out. I really like blackberries. I don't have any experience with the iphone though so can't offer any comparison.

Looks promising, but I hate getting in on 1st gen products. Want to wait a year to see how track record works out.

My tin cans and string work just fine for now... I recently upgraded from my semaphore flags ;) :p

i bought the HTC touch pro. i like it, though windows mobile i can't stand. so far so good, the screen is obviously smaller but the keyboard is really handy. i think the novelty of typing on a screen would get old fast regardless of the clickability.

and yea, i'm not a fan of any first generation product.

The folks who sell them at my store can't buy them yet...have to sell to customers first, and the 1 person who has one doesn't like it.....something about the keyboard?

I don't have it, but I've tried it out. If you like touch pads, then they're pretty cool. The buttons don't actually click, the whole screen clicks. Feels pretty good to just keep pressing on the screen, haha. It might be hard to use if you have fat fingers or long finger nails, but anybody can get use to it. I don't text a lot, but I know people who only communicate via text and they prefer actual keys.

I like blackberry ......... Brandy that is - works great for me and I can afford it :)

My (8830 not) BlackBerry® 8800 got me through Europe and Britain and even finds a Liquor Store in Atlanta!

i got the storm today and its not quite an iphone. its a little harder to get around in and takes many clicks to get places. I like my wifes iphone way mo betta, but this is handier than the BB 8880 i was using.

Just get a BlackBerry with a real keypad. If you get a touch screen all your email will look like this.

"qerg ohh8e rgqh[ oerhegr ]u frhiogrheb nviffrhfrre;a "

Understand? ;)
