...I handled a FRN Delica and it did nothing for me. Here's the post --> http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=255761

Well, I decided to pick up a CF Delica and give it another try. Boy, how the tides have turned. I love this thing! I think for the first time my Sebenza will have to share carry time with another knife. Since this is a lefty, there are only 149 others like it, and I know I should probaly keep it safe, but I've gotta use this baby. Thanks Sal and everyone at Spyderco for showing me the way. Btw, this is my first Spyderco, but definitely not my last :D

EDIT: Here's a picture

Yeah, it's a real beauty. I own a Delica, too and wear it often but I've never touched a CF one so far...

I also carry the CF Delica. It is a fantastic knife. Although mine is a righty I have removed the clip for front pocket carry. This knife is so very slim I really love using it. The tip is extremely pointed and penetrates like no other knife. The VG-10 sharpens nicely on a strop. Great knife.

A very sweet knife, I would definately like to put it in the mix.

For now i'll just have to deal with the lefty CF police
(the girls that give you knives for x-mas are keepers)

Now, if they made a titanium handled, plain edge delica with vg-10 steel! That would definately be next on my list.

Congratulations on your new fine knife. I carried my CF Delica a few times yet I think I'll never use it. Much too beautiful ;)
FYI, there was also an ATS-34 and Ti handles Delica made some time ago... ;)

Now you've gone and done it!

dylan_d,

I just had to call and order up one of theose CF Delica's myself after seeing that GORGEOUS picture you posted. Yes, as a birthday gift to myself for next month it is to be viewed. My kid's will have something to wrap up for me that will make my eyes bulge out of my head!

That'll make them happy, and me too.

Excitedly, Jeff/1911.

Man, that is one fine looking knife! And it's even available for southpaws in the bargain! I hope that you guys who have been plaguing Sal to death over making lefty-friendly knives will take him up on this one, for that is the way to guarantee more of the same in the future.:) :)

Thom, definitely a Dodo. Then maybe a Spyderfly or Chinook II, or both!

Wes,who let you out of your cage? :D

My rough measurements - FRN about 9mm, CF about 7mm.

The CF is noticeably thinner.

I just received my CF Delica!!!! Number 237, it is absolutely beautiful!

A Delica with an adjustable pivot - YIPPEE! And is it EVER slim.

Wow, again. By the way, Walter Krafft of Spoon River Cutlery is one very good guy to deal with.

Jeff/1911.

That photo of Dylan's, plus the looks and feel of the PE LH CF Police I got a couple weeks ago, sold me too. My LH PE one, #247, arrived today from NGK along with a Chinook II. Hard to say which impressed me more. One nice feature not visible in the picture is that it's drilled & tapped for both tip up and tip down carry.

Hi Deacon,

Yes, isn't that a nice feature? I've already changed mine to tip up, to match my other Delica.

I hope you enjoy yours as much as I'm enjoying mine.

Best wishes, Jeff/1911.

It's been three weeks since I ordered mine. Since it's a transcontinental order, it may have:

* Got lost in mail.
* Been confiscated at Customs, being a Deadly and Offensive Weapon.
* Drowned with the plane it was on, and authorities covering the whole thing up. :D

It does take longer than normal. I'm glad however to see such a good pic of it, the ones from KC were OK but a tad sterile. This is the real thing! I really think I made the right choice for my first Spydie.

Before you advise me to buy from 1SKS in the future, that's fine with me but please talk some sense into them first about overseas shipping charges of $85,-! KC isn't cheap either with $32,- BTW. :grumpy:
