Not to long ago, I bad-mouthed the Delica...

Before you advise me to buy from 1SKS in the future, that's fine with me but please talk some sense into them first about overseas shipping charges of $85,-! KC isn't cheap either with $32,- BTW. :grumpy:
Give Mike Dye at New Graham an email and see what they charge, I find their prices excellent, their service superb, and someone, here or on another forum, mentioned that their international shipping charges are fairly reasonable. Their website does mention, however, that loss or confiscation of international shipments is at the buyer's risk.

I was not impressed with my CF Delica, number 285. In my opinion the shiney CF looks a little tacky. The finish is chipped and ragged around all of the screw holes. The steel insert of the lanyard hole projects on one side and is rough to the touch.
The CF is also much more slippery than the FRN.
I now wish that I had bought an FRN instead, to replace my older ATS-55.

Never mind. Live and learn.

Both appear to be true. With a Proxxon (slightly less "professional" type of Dremel) and some polishing/sanding I managed to get the knife a lot more presentable in those areas. The action and fit of the knife are excellent, it's just the last bits of finish that could be improved upon.

I personally really like its looks, and I actually like the shiny CF. It's hellish sharp, with a tip that commands respect... The perfect box-cutter has arrived! :D

VG-10 is turning out to be my favourite steel - it has the perfect amount of "bite" to the touch. Can't explain. I'll try tip up or tip down and see which I prefer with this one. Usually it's tip down for me.

Customs opened the package and charged me the equivalent of about $40,- in taxes. :grumpy: The first time that happened to me. It was my first knife-order after 9-11 however and that might have something to do with it...
