These blocks were cut from the piece in a thread in the main forum.
This is harder redwood than you normally can get. It was from an unusual burl that had about half burl and half weird figure look. The figure is much more reflective than normal. This is natural wood. It has not been stabilized.
The photos turned out terrible. The wood looks much better in person.
