Note to Self: Buy the Tool (Dummy)

So, I'm at the ECCKS and I'm runnin' around got my beanie cap on (with propeller) Big swirly lollie pop just excited as hell.
Hinderer Herd has pens, and knives and goodies. Life is good.

I'm lookin' at all the stuff, had my honey with me pointed at one of the little miniature heads and I said, "Look Honey that's what I'm always asking for" ().
Never paid attention to the Armorers Tool sitting right there in plain view.
Now, I have an excuse, I was all excited. Won my knife lottery and met Rick - He autographed my head! (I was passed out at the time, real funny Rick)
Took my new knife home and the little tiny head and ordered my Ti scale, I was all set. Left the Armorers tools all alone right there on the table at the show.
New scale comes in the mail.
Boy oh boy excitement all over again!
Got my tools out and all my stuff ready to go, How tough could this be. Hell I build all kinds of stuff.
Errrrr. Brakes. Ummmm, Hmmmm the pivot. Oh Yeah the Armorers Tool (they were at the show) Ok.
I know! Email Rob.

" Rob HELP" I need Help! (I can hear Rob sayin' No $h!t tell me something I don't know)
So, Rob says, "Well, I know it isn't hair care products, what kinda help?"
I need a Spanner Tool or better yet....a Armorers Tool.
I'll be right over! Funny, Ohio is 6 hours away.

I went to 4 stores looking for a spanner tool, one guy laughed at me.

So I came home dejected but never more driven to find a way to disturb my oh so comfortable XM18 pivot which at this point I was sure was mocking me.
Looking around it came to me - I own screw drivers (lots of them) and a dremel among other grinder tools so....
I made me one.
Now I know what you're thinking.... Rubi that's amazing! What skill, what ingenuity....Can we see pics of this tool? Ok.
I dunno though, I was thinking of approaching Rick and seeing if he wanted to offer them on the Hinderer website as kind of a "Deluxe XM18 spanner tool" maybe like above the Ti Armorer tool for the Guy that has Everything sort of gift afterall, it is hand made

What's cool too is in addition to being my new Hinderer tool I figure it is also a great self defense weapon. Say it's late at night and you are on your way to the kitchen for a snack when you hear IT.
Flick on the light and there HE is - a ferrel mouse just poised to attack.
I whip out my pivot tool/SD weapon and poke him in both his tiny eyes. Bamm!

I'm ordering my Hinderer Armorers Tool soon as I can. They're Nice.

If I remember right "Oh I do" here is something you said about me when I wrote a little something about Super Hero's and their Hinderer's and I quote "I want some of what Bird is having...."

You do make me laugh, for some reason I can picture that mouse standing on his hind legs with teeth bared, you with your pivot/SD weapon at the ready and dressed in........well forget that part.

This made me laugh as I imagine that's exactly how I would be running around too.

I hate you that's exactly how I want my XM-24. I still haven't carried or used it and I won't until she's complete!
I actually ordered the same scale even though I don't have an XM-18 yet because I know when I do get my hands on one the scales will be gone...smart see!

BTW beautiful knife!!!

Hinderer Knives is a bit ahead of you, they have modded straight slot screwdrivers around the shop that they use for assembly. I borrowed that idea (even though I also had to purchase the Hinderer spanner tool as well) and I have a couple of modded stubby straight slot screwdrivers as well modded straight slot 1/4" hex bits. I put my beer down and when I turned around, it was on!

Thank Goodness I had my new custom spanner tool/SD weapon handy. Check this beast out. He's still in the throws of my counter attack.
