Notes on the Council Tool "2lb" Hatchet

I just ordered an 18" West handle. Why not? I have an old 1.75lb Plumb anchor logo head wanting a handle, and after not much thought, I decided that I should support the endeavors of anyone putting the effort into supplying truly great handles. There are not many sources left for good ones, I want to help those that are to stick around. I encourage anyone reading this to do the same. You know that sooner or later you will want a very nice handle. Get one for a current project or put one away for something down the road. We all like high quality tools for ourselves, so unless you want to spent several hours making your own (after investing many more hours learning how), spend the $20-something dollars for a worthy handle.
 
I wrote Council to alert them of it and apparently they noticed it not that long ago, too, and have been working on a solution, which may explain why I could only find the hatchet on their website by using the search feature. There's some other news, too, but I'm sworn to secrecy for now. Good things are coming, though.
 
Those would be nice, but...secrecy. ;) The official announcement should be out soon so you won't have to wait too long.
