It was very awesome under normal use. We agreed that my zt bme with asym
Edge was pound Pound the winner but bg fbm took 2nd along with the new afbm close. Nmfbm was very impressive but for the $ and extra heft didnt give much more performance. Cgfbm lost. Bme surprised the hell out of us.

(Original) Hell Razor w/ Standard (Non-Magnum) Handle

Customer sent to me for reprofiling and sharpening work. As you can see the knife was used a bit and there was a bit of work on the edge to knock off some shoulder on one side but more of less the factory edge was intact.

I reprofiled to just over 15 DPS at the straight portion of the edge and seamlessly tapers up to just under 20 DPS at the tip for added strength and allowing for an even looking edge bevel width along the entire edge. Win-Win!

220 grit finish - Great balance of push cutting ability (pops arm hair) and slicing aggression/edge retention. Perfectly suited to a combat knife, even ones that have the word 'Razor' in their names....no need here for high polish unless you like the 'jewelry' look.

Daryl Dixon APPROVED!!

Customer sent in their Team Gemini Ultra Light Brigade for reprofiling and sharpening. Requested 15 DPS edge geometry, this one ended up just a scotch under that at the straight portion of the edge and tapers to a couple degrees under 20 DPS at the tip with a 220 grit finish - straight off my Tormek T8. If you look closely you'll see two distinct scratch patterns present.

Deburring and sharpening was done on the same Aluminum Oxide 220 grit grinding wheel it was reprofiled on at 1 degree per side higher angle (shows up as more diagonal scratch pattern rather than vertical). The result is an edge with very high slicing aggression and edge retention while still allowing high push cutting ability. BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!

resinguy resinguy Menefee is local to me, took a few of the pics on his website, he makes a screaming sharp blade. My latest is the blue mammoth slipjoint on top his home page, additional pics in the traditional forum.

Love the teeth! After close scrutiny decided the covers are desert tan. David Brown David Brown sheath fits perfect. Trapper by my neighbor Charlie Bell with vintage Westinghouse ivory micarta covers. Tools good for a lifetime.
