My beloved CGFBM has suffered much abuse. Metal, dirt, plastic, seasoned hardwood - it's handled it all with minimal edge damage despite having a much thinner than stock edge. Last week I gave it a much needed touch-up/refinish. Will probably go more satin and less polished next time. This handle rocks for intense chopping! Not so great for throwing. I do not think it will reach its prime until about 10 more refinishes.
