So goes the line from the new Batman movie. They're talking about The Joker of course.

A sneak peek at some of what he'll be using...

Not really my first choice. What with the big hole in the middle.

i would imagine that it's an otf auto or "gravity" knife. it's not the knife thats dangerous, it's the person wielding it. as far as I'm concerned anything with an edge can be used to destroy someone, and anything thats 5" in length and pointed can be used to quickly kill them.

I am looking forward to this movie. I always enjoyed watching batman cartoons and movies growing up.

Too big to be a Tantila. It's either a Dalton Cupid or a knife that quite closely copies it.

lol. how many knives is the joker carrying when they search him? It looks like he has quite the collection there. what a guy.

Look like the Joker carry a lot of cheap knives... in some way more disturbing and "dangerous" than a expensive ones...

That guy in Cobra did quite a bit of damage with his POS D-ring knife with spikes on it.

I think it's the instinctual feeling you get that he could give a sheet what he is carrying, just that he has things that he can cut people with. He would just assume carry a piece of glass, only it is easier to just buy a bunch of knives at the corner cracko minute market. He needs a small collection because they are as good as disposable, which also lends to the need for cheap shivs.

Edit to add: You get the feeling that he is just like a junky carrying a pocket full of prescription pills. He really doesn't care what they are.

I will compromise on the Cobra knife by saying it was a very well made but in a tacky style which I am sure was what they wanted for the movie.

Joker as a character always took special care in his weapons. He is fond for dramatic looking guns and knives like .44mag revolvers with the longest possible target barrels etc.

I am sure he has a large amount of good knives just like a junky might have a bunch of pills but he will darn sure know what they are and will not be aspirin.

A little disappointing--doesn't the joker know that the OTF's are fragile? My Joker would have an RJ Martin Rampage (recurve tanto blade), or maybe Shane Siebert's weird looking Argonaut, or one of Darrel Ralph's big folding stilletoes. Something with novelty, but functional novelty.

It looks like some idiot Hollywood producer got that stuff from the Pomona flea market.

i think he should carry a Cold Steel Ti-lite (either 4 inch or 6 inch :D), that seems to fit his style of switchblade style knives.

oooh, and he should have a harpy or civilian too, so he can really "put a smile on your face"

I don't think that's a piece missing from the center of the blade or anything, I think that is just an outline of an antenna from a cell phone/walkie

huh? What USSR said. The circular cutout piece is common to OTF's of that style. It's a retainer for the release mechanism.
