"Nothing In His Pockets But Knives and Lint."

I don't care what kinfe he's holding, i'm wondering if his acticting skills can? hold up against Bale's. Fuck a knife, we all have enough,

I think the man was a decent actor, and he'll probably make a fantastic Joker.

That's the unfortunate part; he's very likely going to be a very good Joker, but only for one movie.

"nothing in his pockets but knives and lint"

Ok, I'm the serious one here :p but I don't like the subtle message this line sends: people with knives are murderers. Seriously, what take-home message will the audiences get from this? Of course, the first movie had a very subtle yet strong anti-capital punishment message.

During the booking scene, you see them lay out about a dozen various knives. Though it's hard to tell from the angle what they are. You can see them laydown that Paragon, 2 knives over apears to be a Dalton Cupid (which you see a serrated OTF in a later scene) and I believe the "Why so serious?" scene features a Microtech Troodon ... none of the 3 OTFs mentioned I'd call "cheap"

I saw the movie last night, and he was really excellent. I think the character of The Joker was just about perfect. Perfectly written and perfectly acted. totally creepy and believable, but absolutely The Joker.

It looks like it's in character with the Frank Miller "Dark Knight Returns" graphic novel that came out in the eighties. For me, that graphic novel was a "ground breaking" change for the Batman franchise. A much older Batman is featured, grittier before it became trendy.

There's a scene in the graphic novel where the Joker pulls out a switchblade and practically guts Batman:

I don't think the character cared about what knife he used so much as using it as a tool to terrorize. If the movie can capture some of character of the Frank Miller Dark Knight Returns novel, I'll be happy :)

Maybe it's just me, but the first thing that went through my mind was "Why is the Joker carrying a vegetable peeler?"

I've been wondering about that scene where the evidence room is laying out the knives; what they were, how he'd carry and use them in the movie, etc. Can't wait to see it.

And, looks like I carry only one less than the Jokester there. Guess I gotta get the budget adjusted, and get another to complete my "kit". Gotta ask the wife first, though; you know - turn in the proper paperwork, submit to an inventory, justify the need for another knife, etc. (Even us supervillains have to answer to somebody.) ;) :D

I once told my wife that I needed new knives as often as she needed new shoes. She laughed so hard she almost cried . . .

thx - cpr

It was awesome and I was carrying my Emerson CQC 8 and Mini Commander to the movie that night for the reason that i like those two knives and maybe a little bit of a tribute to the Joker.

Watched it a couple hours ago..... Movies like this is why we have 8 page sheeple threads every froggin month... and froogin Joker-like BF members. :grumpy:
