Tim lively posted this in the Neo-tribal forum on the other forums.
Kinda reminds me of the HI Bird & Trout knife and the dimensions are fairly close as well.

Notice the steel chape?

I hope you pointed out to Tim that HI is still making them the old fashioned way, bro.

ROTFLMAO

Hey, this one is prettier than the Bird and Trout. Do you think Uncle could get the kamis...

Little brother Tim was quite impressed with the kamis work and the HI Bird & Trout. Tim has went totally Neo-Tribal and no longer uses any electricity at all. All of Tim's work is done entirely by hand using a charcoal forge. Tim, I think even makes his own charcoal.
Perhaps someday I may save my dollar's for a long while and get one of Tim's pieces from his own pattern welded damascus.

Bro that is an excellent suggestion, but no one would want to use it if it was made that pretty.
The kamis have proven that they can do the work!!

Is there room for another HI Bowie with dimensions such as this one has?

Well Bro, what do you think about a Gen II HI Bowie something on the order of this one sometime this year?
Perhaps not as wide, but with that same nice fuller?
Put the handle in the middle of the blade and hopefully have it neutrally balanced for quickness?
Something on the order of this one would go very nice with a HI Tomahawk.

I can see it now.... Everyone ordering some big wide Harley Suspenders and belts in order to keep their pants up.

Yea, But I'm serious about a Gen II HI Bowie!!

Really Bro. Although the AK Bowie is something else indeed I think a more traditional Bowie might do well.

I will do a prototype right after the HI Tomahawk if anyone might be interested. If not I will wait a while as I would like a new more traditional Bowie for myself and I can't think of anyone I would rather have make it.

Besides the kamis are doing well on special projects now that they're used to them.

Yvsa,

Thanks for the great posts and pix. To me that is what a traditional bowie is all about.

Would also like to see a HI version.
