Here is my input
The first real knife I ever owned was a Buck 110 (while in the boy scouts). From that point, that was the only knife brand I would consider buying. When I joined the Marine Corps, my girlfriend at the time gave me a Buck 650 (Nighthawk) and I carried that knife on my deuce gear until very recently. Along the way I met Duane from Strider and started to carry primarily my Strider WB and DB. Even though I had those battle blades I still had my trusty 650 in an Eagle sheath lashed to my gear. It is still the sharpest knife I own (strops do wonders).
Now I am lucky to have the coolest job in the world, working for Buck Knives developing edged tools for my brothers and sisters in uniform.
