Nothing to see here

Here is a CS Recon Scout new version in 3v. Original owner, never used etc. Had it on my night stand as a bedside buddy for about a year or so. Purchased brand new and is as new. Razor sharp and have the box and everything that came in the box and its' mint both knife and box. Pairing down my collection as I get older. Sheath is a nice fit and no rattle. These are penultimate Recon Scout imho. $280 F&F via PP.

Second is a handmade knife with a very very rare Don Baker made sheath made specifically for this knife. As much info. as I can glean on this knife it was made in mid 80's and fits the profile of the survival/fighter of that era and includes the leather leg tie down original to the sheath. Knife is numbered as well as the sheath and they match. High carbon steel blade with very minor pitting on the show side. Very sharp blade and what I assume is 01 tool steel. A very nice piece of history if you ask me. I've tried to research the initials on the ricasso but can't find any info if the maker of the knife is JJV or Baker made both the knife and the sheath and put the owners initials on the blade. Either way it's a pretty rare item with a very high end sheath. Sheath has been treated with Piccard's, and Grizzly grease a few yrs back, but not touched since. Blade length is 6.5" or so, handle is full tang and of pakawood or stamina wood from that era. Brass double guard with SUPERB fit along with pommel. Pretty nice package really. Asking $220 F&F via PP. I ship fast and use USPS PMI. Thanks and stay safe

PS the 80's knife is listed first and the Recon Scout second as if you all couldn't guess.
Don Baker was a sheath maker back in the 80s. He was known for making sheaths for Jerry Busse for several years in the same time frame. I don't believe he ever made a knife.

Ok thanks. Didn't know he made them for Busse. Did know he did quite a business with the PJ's at Pope AFB at one time. thanks

I believe the gentleman that made the blade trained under R.W. Wilson back in the 80's. Unfortunately RW has since passed away so I can't ask him.

Here's a belt buckle knife from the same maker that I purchased from RW many decades ago. If I find out more, I'll send you a message. Perhaps another savvy collector on the forum will have a better answer.

I met him at the Ohio Gun Collectors show back when it was in Columbus. He made excellent sheaths, and I had him make a couple for me. When I bought a Busse Shark in the late 80s, it came with a sheath from Baker.
