Novice maker being sociable

Greetings, I'm an absolute novice maker here in northern NJ, not far from NYC. Are there any other makers in my area who would like to chat, and perhaps meet to exchange ideas (and food).

If you come up to see Edward, come 10 minutes farther North and you can stop by my shop! Always glad to talk knifemaking with a "newcomer". That's how we learn-by teaching.

Thank you RJ, I may just take you up on your invitation. By profession I'm a database designer..... I've written a couple of programming books... I enjoy sharing what I know, and consider it to be a very professional approach. Trades have secrets, professionals teach <s>. It's nice to find others who think similarly.
