Ok so I just posted yesterday berating discountknives.com And I kind of feel bad about being so critical of them. Maybe Brian was out of stock, maybe he could have told me that... But for now please disregard my hotheaded topic, "Discountknives is simply pathetic." I was too quick to react.
BUT, on the other side of the table, I put in an order for a progrip today at osograndeknives.com (by phone). The guy told me that he had them in PE FRN in VG10 steel, which was exactly what I wanted. They were a pleasure to deal with.
And then about half an hour ago he called me back to inform me that the blade was not in VG10 but Aus8, apologized for telling me wrong, and gave me the option of cancelling. I'm down with Aus8 steel, and I'm impressed that he called me to confirm.
AND then, they called back again just to make sure they had my address right. It was very cool.
So OSOGRANDEKNIVES.COM seems like a well run, straight up business. I'm impressed.
