The Nagao Higonokami has been around for almost 120 years and for good reason. This simple, robust friction folder is a powerfully utilitarian knife that is so thin and light weight that there is no reason not to carry one.
There is some interesting history behind this knife. It has continued to exist through the period of Japanese history where only aristocratic and warrior castes were allowed to posses weapons, owning to the fact that this knife was much too small to be considered a weapon. We have sizes ranging from key ring to full-sized edc.
They come in 3 flavors: Black Stainless, Stainless, and Brass. The blade materials on these are all San Mai carbon steel:Sk, Blue, or White Paper steel depending. Add one of these to your edc load out or back up kit. You won't regret it.
