now Gerber is ripping off Crawford/CRKT too?

The Spyderco flagship Delica and Endura knockoffs are very common. You can buy buckets of those for about 30 bucks from Smoky Mtn Knife Works. Maxam even steals designs from Frost knives. Jeez.

Matt,
I have the hardest time concentrating on your posts. I don't know why, but my eyes keep drifting up and to the left...I really need to ask my eye doctor about it. ;)

I get that a lot, I have no idea why though.

look at this crap. they have many more ripoffs, they had some M16 lookalikes as well as many benchmades, kershaws, etc but this site doesnt seem to have them all and im too lazy to find more.

but crap like this makes me sick - you can easily recognise which knife each of them copied.

Welllllllllllll. I got a response from Gerber! In summary, they deny it's a knock-off. They say they followed "industry protocols" in designing it; their knock-off, that is.

well, at least they may be feeling an iota of pressure.
i wonder how they would react if everyone from this forum emailed them and asked them why the EVO looks so shockingly similar to the M16-13.

'industry protocols'. hmph. i guess that means that just like every other immoral and moneygrubbing company in the business they simply resorted to making enough small alterations to Kit Carson's design to avoid a lawsuit, but not quite enough to avoid benefitting from the excellent design, reputation and marketing that went into the product.
