Now I have the slightest idea why Becker.

Wait a second!!!! Why the (expletive) are the 4 and 5 being discontinued?!?!

Same old story.

Slow sellers. So the slow sellers are being rotated out, and theoretically we'll see some new models make their way in (like the RBK, unsure at this point if we have any other new ones incoming).

So yeah, snag them while they're cheap :).

Congrats on the 2 brutha!

TBH, the 2 was the 2nd to last Becker I purchased (5 being the last) (so far). Anywho, when I purchased it, I thought....ermahgahd! this is a prybar with an edge! why in the blue eff did i wait so long to get this?!@? My point is, you started with the beast. The Becker that can be used to forge other Beckers. Good choice!

Now, what to get next? That's already been answered a few times. You MUST get a 9! The King! The Destroyer of Worlds! When you hold it, you'll understand.

Congrats again, and good luck on your future Becker purchases.

Thanks Bro! Am convinced the 9 is pretty much next in line. With the 2 & 9, I'm 'basically' covered (AFAIK). But the question now is what will go together with the 9? Ooopsss - 16, 14, 11 my current choices (/dilemma). :foot:

Hey Xdayv......

I always have an 11 around my neck in the woods and a Sixteen with a 9 handy..... Covers the bases...... E

Sir Ethan thank you for your valuable input, you convinced me go with the 11, and actually was leaning towards this (vs the 14) for the shorter length overall.

The progression will be as follows: 2 - 9 - 16 - 11. (Oh, maybe the 14 on another day).

Update: BK2 is still the Beast. | BK16 best for bushcrafting, best ergo. | BK9 surprisingly easy to handle and well-balanced. | BK11 love it for EDC, lighter & thinner profile than a folder. Thanks to all who chimed-in and inspire, the journey has just began...

Just like that.

The BK11 seems to be the biggest surprise, it's been my edc ever since... I relegated my folder (PM2) as a secondary edc. Now, the BK14 seems to be the logical next step.

The BK2 is the gateway, now I get it. Cheers! :D

Question to Beckerheads: without changing the scales on the BK2, what would you recommend to enhance the grip in wet/tropical environment? I have Mcnett Camo Form, would you recommend this? And have some spare paracords, might try on these too.

Sidenote: Been EDC'ing daily the BK11, and used the nylon sheath from an ol' 2-AAA Maglite flashlight, works nice, the tip of the blade doesn't reach the bottom of the sheath, the sheath's opening sorts of locks it up tightly around the handle. All is good.

stipple the scales with a soldering iron (google it), or slip/roll a pieces of bicycle inner-tube around the mid-part of the handle. There are a few threads on common handle mods. The inner-tube mod is non-destructive, so try that first. Also, lock-tite your handle bolts!
