That's right. A nice new BK-7 with stock sheath (which I kinda like now that I see it in person)! Now I just wanna' hack somethin' up! Here he is with his little friend.

Thanks to Moosez Bladez. Less than 48 hours from time of order to my door in the Great Lakes State. Another super-satisfied customer. And thanks to the Becker Knife & Tool sub-forum for convincing me to invest in these cool knives.

Now I gotta' get a 2.

Congrats on the 7! The first thing I did when I got mine was hack up an LCD TV box I hadn't gotten around to trashing. It dispatched of it easily and was looking for more....

The 7 is a nimble beast, I was very impressed with them, enough so that I am buying one. Yours should serve you well for the next 80 years or so, now, go mess up that dang coating! LOL

Congrats on the new 7. Some nice steel.

Nice, but you need to send it down south for quality control testing

You need to think of a new line, this one is getting old. "send it to me....". :jerkit:

Moosez bladez have been breaking, just this past weekend a FFG BK 16 lost it's tip.
Perhaps Moose will now ban you, so, no need to worry about the "old line". ;)

Congrats on the 7, you will enjoy that!
Pics of the first thrashing are hereby formally requested.

I don't know what you're talking about....

Some BK7 love! Get after it, Daddio. Between the 7 and the 11, you really won't need anything else, but we all know that isn't going to happen. Congrats dude!

With all this talk about how fast Moosez shipping is, I'm beginning to wonder if he's part Santa Clause.... Enjoy that 7 man, hack it up !!!! oh and Pics, we like Pics...

Santa Clause has the slowest shipping EVER! You put in an order and your lucky if you ever get it! Don't you dare compare our beloved Moosez to that mean fat man.

Pics to be supplied.

And does anybody know, is the small slot behind the front pouch on the stock sheath meant to fit a 13 (Remora)?

The first thing the gf asked when she looked at the sheath was "will that other weird knife fit in this hole". She was referring to the 11 (and the hole on the sheath). I said "no". She looked at me like I was crazy.

Now I gotta get a 2 AND a 13.

Despite the title I find the 7 is actually terrible at chopping...First thing I did was go out and chop and pry a bit with it to make sure it wasn’t one of the poorly heat treated ones and I just found it sucked at chopping...It’s probably more of a combination of the knife being dull and me not being used to the handle than the blade actually being bad itself but after about 30 chops and only going about 1/4" deep I thought it was some kinda joke. Since then I've convexed the knife and used it a little more and its better than before but not what I thought it'd be like. Also, I’d save the money for the BK-13…I have one and it’s just way too small to do anything even with scales. Sorry for sounding kinda off putting when you just got your new blades but that’s just my opinion.

Thanks for your opinion Cam. Don't take the title too literally. I used the term "hack" in a very general sense. It's not the main reason I decided on this knife. It just feels good in my hand and makes me wanna' use it (ie hack). I debated for weeks between the 7 and the 2 as my first "Big Becker". I concluded that the 7's overall utility (titles again) made it a good first choice.

And as far as the 13 goes, at under $20 (before shipping to me here in Michigan), it's not a prohibitively expensive knife to add to my collection, whether I use it a lot or not. And besides, your customized 13 looks pretty nice to me, small handle or not. :)

I guess I was to harsh on the 7 and 13 just now so heres my revised version...The 13 might be good for an EDC blade but EDCing blades is illegal here so it doesent get as much use as I'd like it to and the 7 was designed for combat not as a chopper so I guess I shouldnt be to hard on it since chopping wasnt its intended function. Judgeing by the amount of posts you've got I'm guessing your pretty new so welcome to the BK&T aswell :).

Nah, you weren't harsh. I like honest opinions. No EDC is Australia? Oh my! That's terrible!!! I didn't realize that.

I'm new to the forums here, yes. Thanks for the welcome. I've carried a knife of some sort every day of my life since I was eight years old (also when I got my first rifle). Now at age 42 I wish I could remember all the knives I've lost, had stolen, had confiscated at school or the airport, or given away. Lately I carry the 11 in its stock sheath in my left pocket. And in my right pocket I carry a Spyderco Endura with the Emerson opening feature (gimmick?).
