Just recieved my Large Sebenza 21...all I can say is that I waited a long time to buy one and now I know why they are so loved.

I already want to sell the rest of my knives because they simply don't compare to the Sebenza. I'm being completely serious.

About the time when I got my first sebenza (small) I got a knife stand that I thought I'd use fr my EDC rotation, but I've had a hard time not carrying the sebenza, so in order to have an "EDC rotation" I have to carry a second knife :). Getting my second sebenza (large) next week. Perhaps that will give the small one some time off :)

I love this knife...and I have a question for the more seasoned Sebenza owners.

Is the blade supposed to be the exact same distance from the liners when closed? The blade in mine is closer to the side that has the smaller bronze washer...so it's not exactly centered. But there is a uniform width of space on each side...just not the same amount of space. I hope it makes sense and appreciate any insight. (Just as a note, it's not rubbing at all and is in no way affecting the lock up of the knife.)

Have you taken it apart and reassembled it? I had the same issue, but after following the CRK instructions "exactly" I was able to center the blade.

Both my large and small Sebbies are biased towards the lock bar/small washer. I'll have to try the CRK instructions and see it it makes a difference.

Congrats on your first CRK! Just brought home my own, too, just recently. It's nice seeing other people's CRKs, but the feeling suuure is different when you have your own personal one to cherish and possibly pass down for future generations to enjoy.

Ok, just tried it the CRK official method. No idea why, but it does seem to help. My blades are still off just a bit towards the lock bar, but it seems to have helped. Heck, now I'll do Sebbie maintenance using only one screw most of the time. Sounds good to me :)

I just did it too...and it does SEEM to be a little more centered, but maybe my mind just wants it to be. Anyway, thanks for the help...I'm not going to do anything further as this knife is otherwise perfect.

Congrats on your first CRK! They are amazing! Be careful, it is easy to get addicted to these wonderfully made knives.

I am officially addicted...already planning to buy another...you know, just to have.

Bought my first, then had to get another, just as a back up, just in case. About one year later and 20 knives and rapidly decreasing bank account I am trying to slow down a bit. So good luck!

Just so you know it never ends it only gets worse with time and there is no cure:D I'm trying to limit myself to one CRK per month

Congratulations on your sebenza. After I got my first one I did sold all my other knives there is no point collecting anymore, cause i want to keep only knives I use which is sebenza.Yes I do plan to buy another-umnumzaan to have a nice pair of CRK.My friend had rockstead, lambert, bunch of benchmades, spydercos, which I borowed and had,but IMO sebenza is the clear winner to me as a edc blade.

Yes....the only exception for me is the Spyderco Serrated Salt knives...those are pretty awesome and fill their specific niche. I'll be keeping a few of those for fishing, beating up around the house, etc...but all others will go. That includes a brand new Para Military, a Benchmade 710, etc...they have nothing on the Sebenza IMO.

I'm awaiting shipment of a large and a small Sebenza after a few years without any CRK products. For about 10 years a large Sebenza was my only EDC knife. Then I foolishly sold it. Since then I've been acquiring one Spyderco after another, never seeming to find that perfect EDC, though they all seem awesome at first. I finally figured out what the problem with all those other knives was: They're not Sebenzas! The Spydies are all going except a SE Salt 1 and maybe the South Fork. Meanwhile the wait for my Sebenzas is going to be torture.

I just bought my first sebenza this week too and noticed the same issue with the blade being a little off center. I tried removing the blade and reassembling it but it's not fixing the issue. I've made contact with CRK to see about them fixing it. Maybe when spending $400+ for a knife my expectations are too high but most on these forums give glowing praise about the 'fit and finish' of all the CRK knives so I'm sure it can be made right. I sure love the knife.

For the life of me ... I couldn't figure out what you guys were talking about. I have 10 Sebenzas and the blades are all perfectly centered. Then, looking at one of them .... it dawned on me. You must not be talking about blade centering (as in centered within the frame, as visualized at the tip of the knife). Of course the blade will appear to be closer to the lock bar side of the frame than the other side. That is the nature of the lock bar .... it rests against the blade. To gauge centering, look at the tip of the knife within the frame. If it is centered between both sides of the frame at the bottom of the knife ... you have no problems! My guess would be you have absolutely no problems with blade centering. Now, if I have misunderstood, let me know.

d.r.h. It's actually the tip of my blade that is off center when in the frame. Here's a pic
