Scouts, or utility knives, were the first pattern that I started collecting, because a Case scout was the second or third knife my Dad gave me (and dammit I don't have it anymore )
A good friend who's passed away, Dick Trombly, gave me a Sierra Club edition made by United cutlery. He was a retired school teacher and knife collector responsible for introducing me into the insanity. The cutting blades suck for holding an edge but this has been my EDC and go-to knife for 15 years. Here's the eye candy:
The saw blade works quite well. Besides the main blade used for opening packages, the next most important blade is the Phillips screw driver. Here's one of my favorites that I believe to be WWII era, steel liners, jigged bone, simply stamped USA:
And some cheap but good Imperials:
