You may have never heard of Östnor, and I would be surprised if you had, but you have probably heard of Mora of Sweden knives. They have been making high quality knives for over a century and the name Mora has become synonymous with the style of knife they make.

The Mora knife fills a role similar to that of the puukko knife in other parts of Scandinavia. It is a general, all-purpose knife and nearly everyone has one...and you should too! The Mora knife is a simple and elegant design that shows its origins as a knife utilized by wood workers, farmers, hunters, children and adults alike.

These knives come in a variety of color options with either 12C27 stainless or 1095 high carbon steel. Most weigh in at around 3 oz. making this a great option for weight conscious trekkers. Easy to sharpen, hearty enough for some tough work and thin enough for slicing, most coming in for less than a Jackson. A Mora will work for you for a long time. Here is the sampling of what we have from the Mora catalog.
