Now That Will is Gone........

It needs a hook dis-gorger/fish scaler, and a hook sharpener built into the handle. If there's room, add a 5 inch fillet blade, too. And a fold-out ruler, too. (I'm in the mood for fishing!) :)

I guess we should also have one of those little hook hones set into the jigged bone scale too :cool:

I like the PryBar lock design, but I'm not sure it goes far enough... I propose a new lock mechanism intended to overcome the limitations of such weak sisters.

My design calls for an unusually large and thick handle. The blade would be of only moderate size, with the rest of the handle volume going toward a powerful battery and capacitor combination. When fully opened the blade would trip an electrical contact, activating a high-voltage arc between the tang of the blade and the heavy steel liner, welding them together. A small diamond-grit saw blade will slide out of a slot in the handle, to permit the knife to be closed again.

Of course, the term Arc-Lock has already been trademarked, so we'll have to come up with another name... :D

Doh!!! I just got back from a little snowshoeing in the Adirondacks..... and Will is already back!!!! Somebody was supposed to delete this thread before Will had a chance to see it!!!
