Now Thats a TGLB!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question about the TGLB scale replacement job in this thread. What kind of fasteners were used? Do those wood scales now make use of allen/hex head (easily removeable) fasteners, as it appear??
If so, can someone tell me exactly what type and size fastener was used, best place to source them, and how are the old Busse thong hole tube fasteners removed? Can they be punched or pressed out by chance? Or must they be drilled out from one (either) side? Or must they be drilled out from both sides? Etc?
I've been wondering exactly what steps and materials it takes to convert a Busse TGLB over from existing factory thong hole fasteners, to a threaded screw type fastener, and more importantly, can this be done without damaging the existing Busse G10 scales, so that they may be re-used??? Thx for any help guys....

gunfixrjoe,
I'm super interested to see more and possibly updated pics of this blues TGLB. Is it still in the same physical state, or have you got any wear/use pics that might possibly show how the blueing is holding up??? I also must know what exact blueing did you use??? Birchwood Casey from gun store, or ??? Do tell brother!

I use Brownell Oxpho-Blue for all my cold bluing. Either the liquid or the crème. It holds up to normal wear very well. As a matter of fact, abrasion is part of its application. As for the TGLB, it hasn't seen any use yet. I just don't want to mess those beautiful handles up...... I'll try to take better pics soon.

I must admit I'm not fond of natural grips but those really look nice!!! The grain flows is what I like the best and both grip plates the grain goes in the same direction and same angle, WELL DONE...
